Urban Planner
Role description
develops plans to build and coordinate infrastructure within a community, and advance ideas and proposals to build on land. They use their knowledge of engineering, environmental policies, and community needs, to create well-crafted metropolitan areas. Urban Planners design proposals that accommodate growing cities, create new communities, or revitalise abandoned or run-down areas. They may specialise in working with a specific type of location, such as thriving communities that require land expansion to fit more families and establishments, or they may specialise in conducting renovations in areas that have older buildings and damaged streets.
