Political Canvasser
Role description
communicates and gauges the public’s perception of a politician throughout political campaigns. They visit local communities to ask members of the public to share their political opinion or sign petitions. Their job is to gather information by traveling door-to-door on behalf of their employer, walking through neighbourhoods to leave flyers, and making phone calls to voters. Political canvassers may also seek for donations if they work on a political campaign. Once they achieve or exceed their quotas, they return to their employer’s office where they will discuss the responses, and enter data into spreadsheets for their employer to use in future research.
