Marine Engineer

Role description

designs, constructs, and repairs marine vessels such as ships, submarines, and other marine equipment such as drills and platforms. Work on the entirety of a project, creating initial blueprints and prototypes before managing the construction of ships or other vessels. Marine engineers also work onboard newly launched vessels, testing them for any issues, and making improvements on repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities include researching projects thoroughly, testing vessel prototypes and solving solutions to any issues, and researching new and innovative technologies.
