Malware Analyst
Role description
analyses, advises, and performs procedures designed to assist IT systems recovering from malware inflicted damage. They are responsible for preventing the spread of malware, classifying malware based on threats and characteristics, remaining informed on the latest malware threats, and updating software to ensure systems are performing at their peak capacity. In addition, Malware Analysts also need to write alerts to keep IT security teams informed, and create documentation outlining their analysis, threats, and updates for security policies and reasons.
