Lifeguard
Role description
supervises and patrols the safety of patrons of aquatic facilities, beaches, and lakes, by preventing and responding to emergencies. Superior swimmers who are able to offer advice on water safety to patrons, conduct swift water rescues, and control unruly behaviour if necessary. Duties range from maintaining constant surveillance of patrons in the water, providing emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services, and securing the safety of all in an emergency.
