Horticulturalist

Role description

Their primary duty is providing technical planting and harvesting advice to growers, farmers, and landscapers. Work for organisations, delivering guidance on plant production, or in laboratories, testing and researching various cultivation techniques. Horticulturists may also work in landscaping to assist landscapers in growing trees, shrubs, flowers and turf in a range of environments. Some Horticulturists transition into education, teaching aspiring agriculturists about plant production and helping them develop their foundational horticulture knowledge and skills.
