Role description

studies the physical aspects of the Earth’s composition, including the atmosphere, water, soil, and the Earth’s crust. Roles can vary depending on where they work and at what level. Involved in the discovery and development of commercially viable and exploitable reserves of natural resources, such as oil, gas, minerals, and water. You may also work in areas such as seismology (the branch of science concerned with earthquakes and related phenomena), volcanology (the scientific study of volcanoes), environmental protection, land reclamation, or oceanography (the branch of science that deals with the physical and biological properties and phenomena of the sea).
