Cost Estimator
Role description
collects and analyses data to estimate the amount of money, time, materials, and labour required to complete a construction project. Their primary responsibility is to provide realistic estimates to ensure a project is completed on time and within budget. A Cost Estimator’s tasks include analysing blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates, assessing cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, and preparing cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
