Control Room Operator

Role description

monitors, operates, and oversees activities in the control rooms of large power plants, airports, transport networks, or emergency and crisis management centres. They ensure the systems and networks function effectively and maintain constant communication between relevant bodies. Control Room Operators must work well under pressure, be outstanding analytical thinkers, and remain flexible and productive in times of continuing change and high stress. Their duties include monitoring operations, resolving issues, communicating clearly and effectively, troubleshooting malfunctioning software, and identifying and recommending improvements to bolster productivity.
