Role description
works with wood, timber, wallboard, and plywood. They are hired for commercial, industrial, or residential projects, where they build and install foundations, frames and walls, as well as fixtures and hardware as required. Depending on the client’s requirements, a Carpenter can also lay timber flooring and install doors, window frames, or craft artwork for a building. They work on construction sites, or in commercial or residential buildings, where they assemble and install wooden foundations, frames and other structural elements. Duties include reviewing plans, measuring and cutting timber to size, making fixtures and fittings, or assembling prefabricated elements.
