Biomedical Engineer

Role description

combines medicine and engineering to help create products, including equipment and devices, or IT systems and software, that are operated daily by doctors and patients in the medical field. Biomedical Engineers work in research and development, or quality assurance within organisations. Design products, including electrical circuit software, or computer simulations, to conduct processes involving the testing of new drugs or therapies. Design and build artificial limbs and body parts, such as hip or knee replacements. Play a critical role in the development of rehabilitative exercise equipment, and provide technical support and maintenance.
