Role description
studies artefacts to gain a better understanding of historical societies. Experts on history who acquire expertise through experience with historical documents/ artefacts, and they can work on sites from recent centuries, to civilisations from thousands of years ago. Archaeologists can assist not only in identifying potential dig locations and the resulting excavations, but also in interpreting any artefacts discovered during excavation. Their duties range from overseeing and documenting the extraction of artefacts at dig sites, to creating computer-generated assessments and simulations of excavated locations to create examples of the historical structures and civilisation.
