Air Traffic Controller
Role description
coordinates aircraft movements to maintain safe distances between multiple aircrafts. They direct aircraft traffic efficiently to avoid delays as safely as possible by using computers, radar and visual references. Air Traffic Controllers monitor aircraft movements in the skies and directs pilots while they are on the ground to manage the flow of ground traffic. They must inform pilots of any runway closures or bad weather, alert the airport response team whenever there is an aircraft emergency, and give/ receive departing/ arriving flight control to and from other traffic control centres.
